TORRES STRIKES - 15 January 2010
Striker Torres galloped his rivals into submission at Southwell, winning the Play Never Stops At Victo Chandler Poker Handicap by 4 1/2 lengths to continue a fine run of form for Hambleton House.
In a race reduced to 5 runners, Striker Torres and Elusive Warrior headed the market. The two of them cut out a strong pace and Elusive Warrior was the first to weaken. From that point, Tom Eaves was able to ease Striker Torres clear for a comfortable victory.
Other notable efforts on the day came from Angaric and Adam Carter who finished second to a very well handicapped runner at Wolverhampton and Bravalto who ran a highly encouraging race in third at Southwell.
