Besty took a well deserved victory at Hamilton in 'John Smiths Fair Friday Next Week Handicap' over 6f under Tom Eaves.
Having twice finished second to apparently well handicapped rivals this season, Besty looked destined for a place once again when challenged inside the final furlong. However, he found more to hold the challenges and win by half a length for proud owners Andy Turton and Paul Langford.
